I always wanted to do an artistic project with TRX athletes but I was always looking for that X Factor that would move me to go out pick up my camera and create some different shots.
My main goal was to take the athletes out of the “cliché” gym background and place them into an original scenery. But that scenery had first to be found in order to become the last missing piece from my visions puzzle.
After a few weeks of searching, location scouting and brainstorming with the people at Lightpulse we came across an amazing engine stock house that was simply amazing ( thanks to one of our beloved clients that pointed us to that direction ).
The place was filled with car engines that were ready to go into a car and breathe new life to it. I was staring at the ultimate visual metaphor for what I wanted to do: the ultimate engine ( the human body ) against a backdrop of actual engines.
What I also loved was the natural grunge vibe that the place had, perfect for the kind of shots and editing I had in mind.
